This section explains how Zirzoner handles data from your Microsoft account when you choose to sign in with Microsoft.

How Microsoft Sign-In Works

Microsoft Sign-In is an optional authentication method. Instead of creating a new username and password, you can use your existing Microsoft account to sign in to Zirzoner.

When you click "Sign in with Microsoft," Microsoft asks you to confirm what information you want to share with us. You control this through Microsoft's consent screen.

What Microsoft Data We Access

We request only basic profile information needed for account creation:

How We Use Microsoft User Data

Account Creation and Authentication

When you sign in with Microsoft, we use your Microsoft data to:

  • Create your Zirzoner account
  • Link your Microsoft identity to your Zirzoner account
  • Authenticate you on future sign-ins
  • Provide Single Sign-On (SSO) access across Zirzoner services

Account Information Display

We display your name and profile picture from Microsoft on your Zirzoner account. You can change these at any time through your account settings.

Account Recovery

Your Microsoft email address helps us verify your identity if you need to recover your account.

How We Store Microsoft User Data

We store only the information necessary for authentication and account management:

  • Your Microsoft account identifier
  • Your email address
  • Your name
  • Your profile picture

This data is stored securely as described in our Data Storage & Protection section.

Microsoft Data Sharing

We do not share your Microsoft user data with third parties except as described in our Data Sharing & Third Parties section.

Specifically:

  • We do not sell your Microsoft user data
  • We do not share your Microsoft data with advertisers
  • We do not use your Microsoft data for advertising or profiling
  • We only share data with service providers who help us operate the platform

Microsoft Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your Microsoft user data as long as your account is active.

If you disconnect Microsoft from your account or delete your account, we remove or anonymize your Microsoft user data as described in our Data Retention & Deletion section.

You can also revoke Zirzoner's access to your Microsoft account at any time through your Microsoft Account Privacy Settings.

Your Control Over Microsoft Data

You have full control:

  • You choose whether to sign in with Microsoft
  • You can disconnect Microsoft from your Zirzoner account at any time
  • You can delete your Zirzoner account, which removes all associated data
  • You can manage Microsoft app permissions through your Microsoft account settings
